Lilly’s Kitchen

“Hello an welcome to my an kitchan! My name is an Lilly, and I am an head cook. However my an mother will be sharing some of my an secret recipes.”-Lilly

And that’s how I started off my blog…. as my dog, with a Russian accent. Happy Wednesday Everyone! I’m clearly off my rocker.

This cooler weather has me in a baking mood! I’ve made all kinds of goodies lately. So while I have the kitchen messy why not throw in some treats for my fine little ladies.

Here are some of Melody and Lilly’s favorite homemade treats!

Peanut Butter Banana Bones
What you’ll need:
2 Ripe Bananas
3 Cups of Old Fashioned Oats
1/4 Cup of Peanut Butter
1/4 Cup of Coconut Oil

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with some parchment paper and set aside
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients, you can add small amounts of oats as needed. We want the dough to not be sticky.
You’ll want to have a lightly floured surface to knead the dough on. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a thickness about 1/4 inch. Using whatever shape cookie cutters you’d like to, cut into puppy cookies!
Pop these into the oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely!

These tasty treats are not only yummy but very good for your pups! The coconut oil does amazing things for their skin and fur, and the banana helps digestion!

This next recipe is ridiculously easy, affordable and dogs love it!

Peanut Butter Drops

What you’ll need:
2 Cups Plain Yogurt
1 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 Zip Lock Bag

This is pretty darn easy, so keep up!
Line a cookie sheet with some parchment paper, and set aside while you mix the peanut butter and yogurt in a bowl until smooth. Scoop the mixture into the zip lock bag. Press the air out of the bag and seal it. Twist the top to turn it into a frosting bag. Cut the tip off the end and use this to make either quarter or nickel sized dots, use a frosting tip if you feel like being fancy. Once your sheet is full, freeze for at least 30 minutes. After they are solid, put them into a freezer safe container and of course, give one or two to your kitchen buddy.

Melody loves sweet potatoes so I have to make these ever so often.

Sweet Potato Dog Chews
What you’ll need:
2-3 Sweet Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F.  While that’s preheating wash the sweet potatoes. Slice them lengthwise into pieces about 1/4 inch thick. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 3 hours, turning them over halfway. Cool completely and serve them to the beast with the beady eyes. Keep refrigerated for 3 weeks or frozen for 4 months.

Lillian discovered watermelon, Melody hasn’t been a fan so I guess this next treat is all for the little Doge.

Watermelon Puppy Pops
What You’ll Need:
1/4 of a SEEDLESS Watermelon
1 Can of Coconut Milk

Scoop out the watermelon into a blender, being careful there aren’t any seeds. Blend this together with the can of coconut milk. Fill up ice cube trays or silicone molds, and wait for them to freeze! It’s pretty easy and my little doe loves it!

My girls love treats, however the best standby is just a spoonful of peanut butter!
